This is the old jetty at Olowalu on Maui. I loved to see the families with there fishing poles and beach chairs gather there. My Mother has a story about the Jetty that in the 1940’s when her family lived in Lahaina. Her father worked at the Sugar plantation and they where renovating their plantation home on Front street. The family moved to Olowalu for a month, they took the Lauhala rugs that where in the house, to clean them they submerge them near the jetty and than dried them out there.
